The First Occasion BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Rosé Got Completely Intoxicated
BLACKPINK’s Rosé opened up about her wild experience turning 20 in Korea on the recent Call Her Daddy podcast.
The controversy began with Rosé describing a crazy drinking tradition she and Lisa went through.
“It’s like a cultural thing where your friends who are already 20 or over 20 would get you in a room and be like ‘Today’s the day you die from a hangover.’ They will literally make you the craziest drink because, you know, you’ve just waited your whole life.”

They became legally allowed to drink on January 1st of the same year, thanks to Korean age rules, since both were born in 1997.
“I even remember the day I turned 20. Lisa and I turned 20 the same year. As soon as the year turns, January 1st you’re allowed to drink, so everybody gets together and we did that, too.”

Older friends gather the new adults and mix wild drinks for them.
“Us four were in the dorm and they were like ‘Get ready, girls!’ It was the wildest night.”

Rosé said they played tons of drinking games that became a big part of her 20s living in Korea.
