The Only Red Velvet Comeback That Has Been Copied By Four Different Groups

Red Velvet is facing fresh plagiarism controversy again.
Since their November 2023 Chill Kill album dropped, five other K-pop groups caught heat for copying Red Velvet’s spooky fairy tale vibes.
First up, NCT DREAM. Their DREAM()SCAPE concept images got fans talking for looking too similar to Chill Kill’s moody and stylized teasers.
Next, LE SSERAFIM sparked backlash over their Japanese comeback CRAZY. Fans noticed outfits and poses that closely matched Red Velvet’s visuals.
Then there’s IVE, no stranger to this drama. When their track “HEYA” came out months after Chill Kill, fans argued the style and motifs were clearly lifted.
no one owns korea’s culture & plenty of groups have taken inspiration from it for their own projects and most have done so in a unique way.
so when people are saying ive took inspiration from red velvet, i think it’s happening for a good reason.

KiiiKiii, IVE’s junior group, joined the controversy with teaser images for Delulu Pack. The girls wore red ribbons and posed with backs turned, just like Red Velvet in Chill Kill.

Fans are split, debating if it’s inspiration or outright plagiarism. One thing’s clear — whenever the conversation starts, Red Velvet’s Chill Kill is mentioned.
