Red Velvet is facing fresh plagiarism claims.
Since their Chill Kill album dropped in November 2023, five different groups have been called out by Korean netizens for copying parts of the concept.
The main points of controversy: visuals, outfits, and themes reminiscent of Red Velvet’s eerie fairy tale vibe.
Here’s who’s been accused:
1. NCT DREAM
Fans pointed out that NCT DREAM’s DREAM()SCAPE teaser images share a dark, stylized mood similar to Chill Kill.
2. LE SSERAFIM
When LE SSERAFIM released teasers for their Japanese comeback CRAZY, some netizens noticed outfit and pose similarities to Red Velvet’s Chill Kill looks.
3. IVE
IVE’s HEYA comeback sparked debates over resembling Red Velvet’s style and motifs. This isn’t the first time IVE has been called out for looking too much like Red Velvet.

Starship Entertainment’s rookie girl group KiiiKiii also faced claims. Their Delulu Pack teaser showed members wearing red ribbons and posing with backs to the camera, which many say mirrors Chill Kill.
