This Spicy Male-Male K-Drama “Pavane” Kiss Was Unplanned by the Writer
Moon Sang Min opened up about the steamy kiss scenes in the Netflix film Pavane — and spoiler, one was Byun Yo Han’s idea.
The actor talked about his roles and the buzz around his kiss with Byun Yo Han, which fans had seen leaked earlier. Moon revealed the move wasn’t scripted. It was Byun’s own suggestion.
“The kiss with Yo Han hyung wasn’t my idea. Hyung suggested it first. In that atmosphere, it was a way to clearly punctuate and conclude the scene. I honestly wondered how we would have done it if it weren’t for him. So I was really grateful.”

Moon also discussed his kiss scene with Go Ah Sung, who plays his on-screen love interest.
“The kiss with Mi Jeong (Go’s character) was good because it was awkward. It felt different from scenes I’d seen in other dramas. I thought it was a kiss where Kyung Rok’s feelings moved ahead of the moment. It wasn’t that he was simply waiting for the act of a kiss. It felt like he had been waiting a long time for the moment he could meet Mi Jeong and emotionally connect with her. That’s probably why it felt more awkward. It was a scene that came from genuine emotion.”

Pavane is Moon Sang Min’s first serious lead role outside romcoms. The Netflix film tells a story about three people opening their hearts and facing life and love.
