TWICE’s Chaeyoung to Launch Solo Career This Fall Following Group Comeback

Chaeyoung from TWICE

With this upcoming solo launch, Chaeyoung will be the fourth member of TWICE to step into the solo spotlight, joining Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu, who have already paved the way with their individual music careers. Meanwhile, other members of the group have been exploring different areas. Mina, Sana, and Momo formed the Japanese sub-unit MISAMO, releasing their mini album Masterpiece. The album achieved impressive sales, moving over 155,000 copies in its first week and topping the Oricon Weekly Chart from July 24 to 30, 2023. This also set a record as the best first-week sales for a Japanese female artist that year and earned them a spot on the prestigious NHK year-end music show Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

On a different path, Dahyun has started acting, making her film debut in the Korean remake of You Are the Apple of My Eye, showing that TWICE members are really branching out into various creative fields.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2015, TWICE has been a major force in K-pop, quickly gaining fans not only in South Korea and Japan but also touring across North and South America, Europe, and beyond. Their blend of group activities, solo projects, units, and even acting roles shows how the members continue to grow as individual artists while still being part of a bigger whole.
