Two Well-Known Male Idols Engage in Heated Debate, Sparking Widespread Reactions

SEVENTEEN Seungkwan and TXT Soobin sparked a wild debate over KARA’s “Jumping” in a viral YouTube talk.

The controversy began when the two idols, both big girl group fans, discussed their favorite groups. Soobin shared his picks after KARA, naming RAINBOW, Apink, and miss A.

Soobin wasn’t a fan of “Jumping,” but Seungkwan quickly named it as his favorite KARA song.

The two clashed hard over why the song is good or not.

Seungkwan: Why? I don’t get it!

Soobin: The instrumental is really good, but the melody is, gosh, wasn’t the melody so carelessly composed?

Seungkwan: What are you talking about? Do you even know how those Sweetune folks came up with that topline melody?

Soobin: It’s too repetitive. The bridge part is repetitive, and the verse and chorus, too, all of it. Maybe they should have at least given variations in the lyrics.

Seungkwan: You don’t know its appeal.

Fans loved watching idols debate this old-school K-pop classic.

This is basically a debate between a true fan and a listener. Soobin has been a Kamilla for 16 years, while Seungkwan is a K-Pop listener. (But strangely enough, Soobin started stanning KARA because of ‘Jumping.’)

Soobin and Seungkwan’s K-pop talk is so fun, I want to join in on the conversation, too.

Fans called it a true Kamilla vs. casual listener showdown. Soobin has been a hardcore KARA fan since 2006, but Seungkwan listens more broadly.
