Well-Known K-Pop Star Addresses Speculations Regarding Same-Sex Relationships

Super Junior’s Heechul finally addresses the long-running gay rumors swirling around him.

He opened up on MBC’s Radio Star about the gossip connecting him with Jang Geun Suk and Lee Hongki.

“Jang Geun Suk, Lee Hongki, and I have similar personalities. That’s why there were so many gay rumors about Geun Suk and me.
Then rumors about me dating Mithra Jin surfaced, becoming this huge ordeal.”

Heechul revealed how close he was with Mithra Jin early in their careers.

“We were really close. He was the first friend I became close with early in our debut. Mithra was much taller than I was and had a macho personality. My hair was long when I hung out with him.”

Their relationship was so serious at one point, Mithra Jin kept it hidden from Epik High members.

“When we met, it was so serious that Mithra Jin kept it a secret from the Epik High members. One day, Tablo caught me, and he thought it was really weird.”
