Well-Known SM Entertainment Male Idol Gains Attention for Criticizing Korean Men

Johnny is facing controversy for calling out Korean men’s dating skills — again.

The NCT star went viral after a clip from his show Johnny Says spread rapidly online.

In the episode, Johnny was giving relationship advice when a young man said he hadn’t confessed to his crush because of an age gap and that he was “only twenty, a beginner in society…”

Johnny didn’t hold back.

“You don’t have much…I don’t think she has much either?”

The guy said he showed his interest by pouring water and setting out silverware at restaurants.

Johnny slammed that excuse hard:

“That’s just manners. That is etiquette.”

Fans loved Johnny’s blunt takedown of Korean men’s weak flirting skills.

The clip sparked a flood of tweets mocking men’s inability to even show basic respect in dating.

“JOHNNY IS SO FRUSTRATED W/ KOREAN MEN ”
— twitter user @NCT20RESONANCE

“johnny going viral for calling out a guy whose way of ‘flirting’ is setting up utensils & pouring water for a girl he likes & john’s like ‘that’s just basic manners bro’ ”
— twitter user @jekkibby2

“Bruh, nowadays men are such losers yo!! Damn clowns. Basic ass manners in considered flirting.”
— twitter user @sangwon_nim

The moment follows earlier this year when EXO’s Kai also went viral after criticizing male students for disrespectful “incel” behavior toward women.

Seems SM Entertainment idols aren’t afraid to call out men’s bad behavior.
