Who Is That Unknown Figure in BTS’s World Tour Photo

BTS is facing backlash over their world tour promo images.
The controversy started when an ad promoting BTS’s upcoming concerts in Las Vegas showed seven idols who don’t look anything like the actual members. Fans immediately noticed the weird, AI-generated faces.
The BTS World Tour launches April 9 in Goyang and hits major cities like Tokyo, Mexico City, Los Angeles, London, and Las Vegas. But the supposed “BTS” in these promotional images look off, confusing and angering fans.
Some fans pointed out the ridiculousness of using AI images when official photos are everywhere, including the original group photo the AI manipulated.

There’s literally an actual picture of this in full HD from actual photographers, why would you even need to edit it in AI?

The AI ads aren’t limited to Vegas. Another fan found a similar AI-generated promo for BTS’s France shows.

BTS will perform at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this May. Fans remain puzzled why AI was chosen over real images for these promo materials.
