Wrapped Buses and Trucks Take to the Streets Ahead of BTS V’s Military Discharge

With BTS V (Kim Taehyung) preparing for his discharge from South Korea’s Special Forces on June 10th, fans worldwide have launched a wave of celebratory projects to welcome him back. From Asia to Africa and the Middle East, fan communities are using buses, trucks, and digital displays to show their love and support.

In Bangkok, the Thailand fanbase "BTS V THAILAND" kicked off a unique “V of VALOR” initiative. Multiple electric buses have been decorated as moving galleries featuring Taehyung’s images. These buses roll through busy streets all month, with QR codes that link directly to his Instagram, Spotify, and music videos—giving fans a chance to interact with his work while celebrating his return.

Over in Nigeria, where the fanbase "KTH Nigeria" operates, a wrapped bus will circle Lagos, Africa’s largest city, for an entire month to mark the occasion and express local support.

China’s "Baidu VBar" has also put together a large-scale tribute with two buses wrapped in Taehyung’s images traveling the route between HYBE and Chuncheon. In addition, two LED trucks parked outside the HYBE Headquarters will broadcast 180 heartfelt messages from Chinese fans, creating a warm and communal experience at the gate.

Back home in South Korea, several projects are ready to catch the eyes of fans and passersby. "KTH Supporters" will run a bus ad titled "#HappyVus" wrapped in photos of Taehyung, traveling through Seoul and Chuncheon. Alongside them, fansite "NUNA V" announced "V-vus," a similar campaign that includes bus route coverage in areas like Sinyongsan (close to HYBE), Sinchon, Hongdae, and Hapjeong. They’ll also place ads at the bus stop right in front of the HYBE building, working jointly with Korean fans.

" I faced many challenges, especially in finding a reliable intermediary in Korea, but thank God, the dream has come true. The worldwide scale and variety of fan projects reflect just how excited and devoted Taehyung’s supporters are. Fans on Twitter have been sharing images and info about these projects, spreading the excitement across platforms and countries. It’s clear that when Taehyung’s military service wraps up, the celebrations won’t stop anytime soon.
