35-Year-Old Actor Criticized for Portraying High School Student in New K-Drama
Hwang In Youp is facing fresh jokes online after the new poster for his upcoming rom-com drama Dream to You dropped.
The poster shows Hwang In Youp and Hyeri, both in school uniforms—despite both actors being in their 30s. Fans quickly pointed out that it looks like they’ll be playing teenage versions of their characters themselves, not younger actors.
This isn’t the first time Hwang In Youp has played a high school student. Roles in 18 Again, True Beauty, and The Sound of Magic already had him decked out in school uniforms, so fans are cracking up at the never-ending school look saga.
The drama follows two characters at different life stages: Hyeri as a reporter stuck in a bland adult life, and Hwang In Youp as a film director who broke free from his strict upbringing to chase his dreams by 30.
