The controversy started when someone at the gym reportedly hit on Lee Know while he was working out. This happened during Stray Kids’ US tour.

The stranger greeted him first, offered a bottle of water, and asked where Lee Know was from. When Lee Know was about to leave, the person asked, “Do you have Instagram?” Lee Know quickly gave out his public handle without hesitation.

I was exercising, and it seems like they were also working out. Since they said good morning first, I responded as such. Then they suddenly offered me water. I said I was good because I had water with me. Then they asked where I was from and I responded that I was from Korea. They recited all the Korean words they knew and I was like okay, sure. Then I went back to working out. When I had picked all my stuff and was about to leave, they asked for my Instagram, so I told them about t.leeknowsauraus.

Thankfully, the fan who approached Lee Know was a genuine stranger, not a sasaeng or stalker.
