BIGBANG’s G-Dragon Publicly Responds to Seungri and T.O.P’s Controversies

BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON has finally addressed the scandals around former members Seungri and T.O.P.

The controversy started years ago. Seungri left BIGBANG after the Burning Sun scandal. T.O.P also left amid drug-related charges.

G-DRAGON spoke up during an interview on Son Suk Hee’s Questions on November 5. He talked about his tough time leading the group through those dark moments.

Both former members reacted differently to the fallout. Seungri sparked backlash by performing BIGBANG songs overseas and mentioning G-DRAGON. Meanwhile, T.O.P tried to distance himself from the group and admitted he’s not in contact with the other members.

G-DRAGON addressed the scandals directly but made it clear the members’ mistakes didn’t hurt him personally as much as when he made mistakes that affected the group.

“Honestly, my members’ mistakes or personal matters are separate from me. But the hardest times as a leader were when I made mistakes and caused harm to the team. Whether intentional or not, when situations like that happen, the entire team suffers — and that’s what hurt the most.”
