NJZ (NewJeans) Faces Lawsuit Dismissal, Sparks Widespread Backlash

NJZ (NewJeans) is facing backlash after they decided not to appeal their lawsuit over exclusive contracts with ADOR.
On November 14, music industry sources confirmed all five NJZ members dropped any appeal against the first trial’s ruling.
That means their exclusive contracts with ADOR stay valid, and the Seoul Central District Court’s 41st Civil Division ruling is final.
The court sided with ADOR, stating the “exclusive contract is valid.”
Since then, the group has been busy preparing their comeback under ADOR.
Netizens are shocked and disappointed that after all the legal battles, NJZ is back with their original company under HYBE.
Reactions on Instiz include:
“It would make it less uncomfortable if they apologized.”
“Did they not know this would happen? I’m just shocked.”
“What do you call a failed revolution?”
“Treason.”
“After losing it all, it ends with HYBE, whom they hate so much.”
“I hate seeing all five of them. They are so vicious. And there’s no apology.”
“They must be having a hard time…they’re just kids.”
“I’m surprised that they started without a single piece of evidence…what were they trusting. Everyone believed that they were making a fuss because there was evidence, but it seems like there wasn’t any more evidence.”

NJZ’s contract controversy ends with the court ruling firmly in ADOR’s favor—and fans are left questioning what comes next.
