Peng Jinyu, one of the debuting members, stirred major controversy due to his past hate posts targeting BTS’s Jungkook, aespa, and TWICE. His history has sparked serious doubts about the group’s image and management choices.

Fans quickly pointed out problems beyond Peng Jinyu. They criticized the heavy makeup, odd Photoshop work, and lack of standout visuals in the group photos. Reactions flooded online with sharp comments.

“What’s going on with the Photoshopping? It looks so unnatural. The eyes are terrifying.”
“I don’t like any of them.”
“Not sure about this…”
“I recognize some of them from Boys II Planet. I don’t get why they were Photoshopped like this. They look way better in the videos than in these photos.”
“I’m turned off by the heavy makeup… Is this what Kim Jaejoong himself likes? It’s excessive.”
“Um…? LMAO. I mean, I do think it’s the over-editing that’s the problem. I’ll have to see them in videos.”
“Yeah, that’s the guy… He’s the one who apologized for making hate posts about BTS’s Jungkook, TWICE, and aespa.”
“These photos aren’t doing them justice, IMO. Just based on what I saw on Boys II Planet, LOL. Masato actually looks like Im Siwan.”
“Peng Jinyu…?”
“I’m surprised by how I don’t find any of them interesting.”
“Maybe I got my hopes up too high.”

More fans joined in:

“I don’t like any of them.”
“They’re all wearing the same style of makeup, it’s impossible to tell them apart.”
“Peng Jinyu? The hater?”
“Not interested.”
“Their makeup is so tacky, it’s giving 2nd or 3rd generation K-Pop boy group makeup.”
“Maybe it’s the makeup, but they all look the same to me… I can’t tell from these photos whether I like them or not. They should probably go lighter on the makeup.”
“I don’t like any of them.”
“They all look so young, though… How old are they?”
“The last two are OK, I think.”
“Isn’t Peng Jinyu the hater? I remember him from Boys II Planet.”
“I don’t really like any of them. They all look the same.”
