ADOR Allegedly Seeks Massive Damages From NewJeans’ Danielle, Sparking Backlash

NewJeans’ Danielle is facing a major legal battle as ADOR filed a lawsuit against her and her family, along with former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, for breach of contract and damages.
The lawsuit was officially filed on December 30. ADOR is demanding around ₩43.1 billion KRW (about $30 million USD). The case is now with the 31st Civil Division of the Seoul Central Court — the same court that handled the HYBE and Min Hee Jin lawsuit. The first hearing has not yet been scheduled.
The controversy began as ADOR confirmed the termination of Danielle’s contract shortly before filing the lawsuit. Netizens quickly reacted, expressing shock and disappointment at ADOR’s move.
Comments from 팬들 include:
“Crazy company.”
“Dani, hwaiting!”
“Can they call themselves an agency? Begging them to return, but as soon as they do, they split up the group?”
“HYBE is so cruel…Bang needs to be exiled.”
“They are ruining K-Pop. How can younger people trust an agency and grow as artists when they are taking advantage of even top-tier girl groups?”
“How is this fair…a company going against an individual?”
“How is this an entertainment agency…HYBE, what’s wrong with you?”

This legal clash adds more tension to the fallout between Danielle, the agency, and former CEO Min Hee Jin.
The first court hearing date remains unannounced. Fans are watching closely as this high-stakes lawsuit unfolds.
