Rain Criticizes Celebrities Involved in Controversies

Rain is dropping harsh advice on lasting in K-pop.

The controversy started in a new YouTube video on “Season B Season” released April 1. Rain sat down with INFINITE’s Nam Woohyun and VIXX’s Leo (Jung Taek Woon), who star in the musical Sugar.

Leo opened up about his worries after years of group work.

“As we continued team activities, the team has become more like a shadow, and I find myself thinking a lot about the next step,” Leo said.
“I once heard a senior say, ‘It’s not the one who’s good who wins, but the one who lasts the longest.’”

Rain agreed and hit back with blunt advice.

“There’s one thing I really want to say. The biggest thing to be careful of in this industry is becoming complacent,” Rain warned.
“When you stay still, random thoughts like ‘Why am I like this?’ or ‘What should I do?’ just keep piling up.”
“Whether it’s working out or something else, you have to keep moving to clear your mind, and then things naturally start to work out. If you stay stuck when things aren’t going well, that’s the end.”

Leo responded with how he and Woohyun try managing themselves.

“Both Woohyun and I really put a lot of effort into self-care. We’ve been exercising for over ten years, and even tried eating one meal a day, but sometimes we wonder how long we can keep this up; it gets tough.”

Rain’s comeback was sharp:

“As long as you’re in this industry, you have to do it until you die.”
“That’s the etiquette of being an entertainer. You can’t expect to get something for nothing without effort. You have to wear yourself out for the rewards to follow, and that’s when those rewards feel even sweeter.”

He didn’t shy away from addressing ongoing scandals.

“When things go well while you’re idle, you tend to become even more complacent. That’s how incidents happen,” Rain said.
“That said, there’s no need to be too impatient.”

Rain’s warning is loud and clear: Stay moving or risk falling off.
