Leading K-Drama Actress Reveals She Was The One To Propose To Her Husband First

Nam Bo Ra is opening up about her marriage struggles with her lifelong single husband.

The actress recently revealed on Knowing Bros that her husband had never dated or even held a woman’s hand before meeting her.

“I didn’t even know. He started dating late. I first met my husband when I was 33, and at that age, you wouldn’t think someone is a lifelong single, right? But when we went on dates, he wouldn’t hold my hand.
He clearly said he liked me and we were dating, but I kept thinking, ‘Why isn’t he holding my hand?’ So after one date, I asked him, ‘Why didn’t you hold my hand?’ and he said, ‘I’ve never held a woman’s hand before.’”

The male hosts joked it sounded like a pickup line, but Nam Bo Ra confirmed it was real. She also said she had to lead the entire relationship, including marriage.

“I taught him a lot. I’m usually the one who gets led, but trying to take the lead myself was really embarrassing. But if you want the relationship to progress, there’s no choice. I taught my husband a lot, raised him well, and upgraded him into an adult.”

She revealed she was the one who proposed first, taking charge about the marriage talk.

“I did it first. It felt like my husband wanted to talk about marriage but couldn’t bring it up, so on the way home I said, ‘Should we get married?’ My husband replied, ‘Bora, when are you free? Let’s do it whenever you’re free.’”
