Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung Seen Publicly For The First Time After Breakup Reports

Sooyoung makes first public appearance after breakup with Jung Kyung Ho

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung stepped out on June 13, 2026, at the 12th Together Marathon With The Visually Impaired in Seoul. This marked her first official event after confirming her breakup with actor Jung Kyung Ho.

Sooyoung was seen calmly ready to run, hair in a ponytail, standing alongside her father, chairman of the Movement To Eradicate Blindness. She also joined the marathon with participant Sean, supporting the cause.

Her father has battled retinitis pigmentosa for over 15 years and works toward helping the visually impaired. Sooyoung has long backed his efforts, serving as ambassador for the organization and donating ₩300 million KRW (about $198,000 USD) in 2023 for blindness research.

At the event, she ran the course with other participants. All proceeds will aid visually impaired individuals’ welfare.

News of Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho’s breakup broke June 9. The agency confirmed it:

“It is true that Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho recently broke up.”

The couple dated since 2012 and went public in 2014. Their split ended 14 years of being one of the industry’s long-term couples, drawing major public attention.
