Leading K-Drama Actress Announces Marriage To Younger Husband
Choi Jung Yoon just revealed she’s remarried. The actress quietly registered her marriage back in May last year.
Her new husband, known only as Mr. A, is five years younger and works as an office employee. He’s a junior to one of Choi Jung Yoon’s elementary school friends. The two grew close through golf.
Choi Jung Yoon’s 11-year-old daughter Ji Woo played a key role in their relationship. Ji Woo liked Mr. A so much, she called him “Dad” even before they officially started dating.
The actress was drawn to Mr. A’s personality and how well he treated her daughter. She said this led naturally to marriage.
“Because of my job as a celebrity, I felt like I should make it public. It’s not a world where you can hide things like before, and considering my child’s position, I thought about going public. _My child is very happy with her dad. She proudly tells people, ‘My mom is an actress,’ but when it comes to talking about her dad, she hesitates without realizing it. She hasn’t hidden it from her friends or teachers, but it seemed like she couldn’t fully say everything she wanted. I thought it would be better to reveal the remarriage so my child wouldn’t feel uncomfortable.”

She praised her husband’s calm and supportive nature.
