BTS Member Reveals He Almost Quit After 7 Years But Decided to Stay

BTS’s Jin opened up about considering leaving the group early in his career. In a recent YouTube video with Kian84, Jin revealed that disbandment crossed his mind when he first started as a K-pop idol.
Kian84 kicked off the conversation by saying,
“It’s been about a year and a half since Kian’s Bizarre B&B ended, but it never felt like you were far away. I see you everywhere… On the Gyeongbu Expressway or when I’m eating tuna, your face is just all over the place.”
Jin agreed, sharing how busy he’s been lately.
“I released a solo album, went on tour, filmed commercials, and when I had some free time, I played games and had a drink here and there.”

Kian84 praised BTS’s dedication, noting,
“Usually when idol groups get more experienced, their choreography gets a bit looser.”
Jin responded,
“The members are truly amazing. Me? I’m not that good, honestly. You have to be objective about yourself… I know I just get by with my good looks.”
Reflecting on BTS’s 13th debut anniversary, Jin admitted,
“Back then, I thought I might just do this for seven years and then leave.”
What kept him going? The fans.
“But my mindset toward it all changed. As I kept going, it became more and more fun, and I grew more sincere about it. And thanks to the fans, I felt like I could keep going longer and take it more seriously.”
— Jin
Jin isn’t the only BTS member who has thought about the future of the group. RM has also shared his honest feelings about staying together.
