Garosero Institute’s Kim Se Ui Addresses Allegations Linked to Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron Controversy
Kim Soo Hyun is caught in controversy again as Kim Se Ui, head of the Garosero Institute, faces charges for spreading false info related to the actor’s scandal with the late Kim Sae Ron.
The Seoul Central District Court held a detention hearing for Kim Se Ui on May 26. He’s charged with violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and defamation.
Kim Se Ui showed up at court around 9:59 a.m. When asked if he admitted the charges, he said:
“I do not admit any of them and plan to deny them all.”
He called the warrant:
“nonsense that has not even clarified the basic facts.”
Kim Se Ui claimed the issue centers on AI-manipulated voice recordings. The National Forensic Service said it’s impossible to confirm AI manipulation, but the police are apparently siding with a private company hired by Kim Soo Hyun. Kim Se Ui called this:
“unacceptable.”
He also talked about a KakaoTalk chat he revealed in a March 2025 press conference, which labeled an “unknown” as Kim Soo Hyun. He claimed he gave notice about reconstructing the content but criticized the arrest warrant request as:
“too intentional and hastily made.”
Kim Se Ui plans to file a complaint against police and prosecutors on abuse of authority charges.
The accusations against Kim Se Ui include spreading false info on Garosero YouTube. He claimed Kim Sae Ron dated Kim Soo Hyun as a minor and that pressures from Kim Soo Hyun’s side caused her death.
He’s also accused of defaming Kim Soo Hyun by using AI to manipulate Kim Sae Ron’s voice, fabricating claims like their first sexual encounter happening during middle school winter break.
