Kim So Hyun is facing backlash after revealing she’s never shown her bare face to her husband in 15 years of marriage.
The popular musical actress, married to fellow musical actor Son Jun Ho, made the confession on the KBS 1TV show AM Plaza. Son Jun Ho admitted he has never seen Kim So Hyun without makeup.
Kim explained she wakes up earlier than her husband to put on makeup, a habit she picked up from her mother who also wore full makeup at home.
“It felt natural to me,” Kim So Hyun said on the show.
Son Jun Ho also said he has never seen his mother-in-law without makeup, showing understanding of Kim’s routine.
This 2025 episode resurfaced on X (formerly Twitter) in 2026 and went viral with over 4.5 million views, sparking heated criticism online.
