ADOR faces criminal complaint over alleged mistreatment and visa data leaks involving NewJeans’ Hanni

ADOR has been hit with a criminal complaint accusing the company of mishandling NewJeans member Hanni’s visa information and personal data.

On July 28, KST, reports said cultural critic Kim Seong Su filed the complaint at the Seoul Yongsan Police Station against the HYBE subsidiary.
Kim held a morning press conference in front of the police station on July 28 and announced he had submitted an official complaint accusing ADOR and its employees of violating the Personal Information Protection Act.
The complaint alleges ADOR staff who handled Hanni’s immigration status and visa “had unlawfully disclosed her personal information and leaked it to third parties for purposes beyond the original intent of collecting the information.”
According to the filing, ADOR collected and processed details about Hanni’s E-6 (entertainment) visa while managing her activities and residency. The complaint lists the visa type, expiration date, the status of extension application documents, and whether she had signed them as the specific items handled.
Kim claims that material from those records was leaked to media outlets between December 2024 and February 2025.
He pointed to a February 2025 news report that revealed preparations for Hanni’s visa extension documents and reported her refusal to sign them, arguing that such specifics would be hard to obtain without an insider source.
The complaint also attached a statement issued by the parents of NewJeans members on February 12 of last year. That statement expressed worries about violations of personal information and rights and said around 70 speculative articles about Hanni’s visa type and expiration date ran over two days.
The filing has drawn strong reactions from the group’s fandom, with many fans reportedly unhappy about how HYBE has managed the related dispute with
