BABYMONSTER to release “MOON” music video August 3 at midnight KST

BABYMONSTER will drop the music video for “MOON” on August 3 at midnight KST.
The song is a B-side from their third mini album ‘[CHOOM].’ On July 27, YG Entertainment posted “[CHOOM] ‘MOON’ M/V ANNOUNCEMENT” on its official blog, confirming this will be the album’s fourth music video after the title track “CHOOM,” the digital single “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” and the B-side “I LIKE IT.” The company noted that Yang Hyun Suk had teased the release earlier.
A teaser poster released with the announcement shows a giant full moon hanging over a forest plunged in darkness. Deep contrasts of light and shadow create a dreamlike, mysterious mood, and the song title “MOON” appears in red typography on the image.
The track is described as a southern trap-style R&B hip-hop song built around heavy 808 bass and a sparse arrangement. Synthesizer textures and lyrics with an offbeat storyline contribute to the song’s unique tone, and global music fans have praised it since the album arrived. The song also got a particularly strong reaction when its performance premiered at ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM] IN SEOUL,’ boosting expectations for the full music video.
YG stated:
“This music video focuses on capturing the mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere of ‘MOON’ through sensuous visuals,”
“It will present a new side of BABYMONSTER’s charm, with a mood entirely different from the refreshing energy of ‘I LIKE IT.'”
BABYMONSTER began their second world tour, ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM],’ with Seoul concerts last June. The group is currently performing in major cities in Japan and will continue to meet fans across five continents: Asia, Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe.
