BTS’s Jimin Overtakes Jungkook’s Record as Longest-Charting K-Pop Soloist on Billboard Artist 100
BTS’s Jimin continues to solidify his status as a global solo powerhouse, achieving yet another historic milestone. The multi-talented artist has now surpassed his fellow member Jungkook to become the longest-charting K-pop soloist on the Billboard Artist 100 chart.
On January 28, 2025, Billboard unveiled its latest chart rankings, revealing that Jimin secured the No. 62 spot on the Artist 100. This marks his 34th non-consecutive week on the chart, officially breaking Jungkook’s previous record.
Jimin’s Chart Domination Continues
Jimin’s success isn’t limited to the Artist 100. His hit track Who has been making waves across multiple Billboard charts:
- No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 (26th week)
- No. 11 on Streaming Songs
- No. 16 on the Global 200
- No. 22 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart
Meanwhile, his second solo album MUSE continues to break records. The album returned to the No. 77 spot on the Billboard 200 for its 27th week, further cementing its place as the longest-charting K-pop solo album in history. Additionally, MUSE maintained its reign at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart for the third non-consecutive week.
A Legacy of Solo Achievements
Jimin made his solo debut in 2023 with the album FACE, featuring the title track Like Crazy, which became the first K-pop solo song to top the Billboard Hot 100. The pre-release track Set Me Free Pt. 2 also garnered significant attention, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
Despite enlisting in the military on December 13, 2023, alongside Jungkook, Jimin’s music continues to thrive. His second solo album MUSE was released on March 24, 2024, featuring the title track of the same name. The album became a massive success even without active promotions, proving the enduring power of his artistry.
