“Hello ARMY, this is Jimin.

I enlisted in December of the year before last, and now, two years have passed.
I’ve been serving for about 1 year and 2 months, and yes… time really seems to pass differently here.
It hasn’t been easy, but there are things I’m learning and feeling, and I’m looking forward to the day when I can have fun conversations with all of you about what’s happened during this time.
Well, my daily life hasn’t changed much.
Since it’s the military, I train, work, exercise, and before I know it, the day has passed and it’s time for bed—living a routine like that.
What’s different is that after the new year, the conversations I have with Jungkook before bedtime have changed a lot.
As the day we meet ARMY gets closer, we’ve been talking a lot about the things we need to prepare before we meet, what kind of things we’ll show, and what kind of lives we will lead. We’ve had many conversations about all of that.
Honestly, there’s also a bit of fear.
It’s been quite a long time since we performed together, and it’s been a while since we’ve fully dedicated ourselves to the stage and music, so I feel a bit scared.
But the heart to deliver the best stage for all of you who have waited for us hasn’t changed.
I’ll work hard. Really…
I’ll do my best to return in a great state.
To our beloved ARMY, who I miss and am so grateful for,
Until the day we meet, please stay healthy and have a day that brings you happiness.
Happy New Year, ARMY.
I love you.”

The singer shared that his daily routine in the military revolves around training, work, and exercise, with the days passing quickly before it’s time to sleep. However, he noted that his conversations with fellow BTS member Jungkook, who enlisted alongside him, have become more frequent and meaningful as they approach their discharge date.

“It hasn’t been easy, but there are things I’m learning and feeling, and I’m looking forward to the day when I can have fun conversations with all of you about what’s happened during this time,” Jimin wrote.

Jimin and Jungkook have been discussing their plans for the future, including:

  • Preparations for their highly-anticipated return
  • The kind of performances they want to showcase
  • The direction of their lives post-military service

Despite his excitement, Jimin admitted to feeling a bit of fear, acknowledging the time that has passed since BTS last performed together and fully dedicated themselves to the stage and music. However, he reassured fans that his determination to deliver the best possible performances for ARMY remains unchanged.

“I’ll do my best to return in a great state. To our beloved ARMY, who I miss and am so grateful for, until the day we meet, please stay healthy and have a day that brings you happiness,” Jimin concluded, expressing his love for the group’s dedicated fanbase.

Jimin and Jungkook are set to be discharged from the military in June, with BTS‘s full-group activities planned to resume in the second half of the year. Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting their return and the exciting new chapter in the group’s illustrious career.
