K-Drama Actress Confirms Relationship Following Boyfriend’s Denial of Wedding Rumors
Ha Jung Woo is facing wedding rumors and clarifications.
The controversy began February 4, KST, when reports claimed the actor was scouting wedding venues in Seoul. Sources said Ha planned to marry this July.
Ha Jung Woo’s father, veteran actor Kim Yong Gun, confirmed the news in a phone call with reporters.
Ha Jung Woo himself pushed back, saying this was only a wish if marriage happens at all. He blamed the July date on a misunderstanding from his father’s comments.
“I mentioned that I’d like to get married in the summer, if it happened. The July wedding rumors might have come from my father’s statements, which I think were misunderstood,” Ha Jung Woo explained.
Soon after, Dispatch named Ha’s girlfriend as actress Cha Jung Won, denying earlier media claims she was a non-celebrity. Dispatch said the couple was planning marriage but nothing was final.
Cha Jung Won’s agency confirmed their relationship but was cautious on wedding rumors, stating nothing had been decided yet.
