KATSEYE rises on UK Official Charts as “Animal” earns Official Charts feature

KATSEYE rose on the UK Official Charts after the Official Charts published an in-depth piece on July 24 titled “Why KATSEYE is destined to become the UK’s next pop icon,” highlighting their latest single “Animal.”
The group was formed through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. The Official Charts story focused on “Animal” and the group’s growing footprint in the British pop market.
KATSEYE’s momentum began in 2025 when “Gnarly” entered the UK Official Singles Top 100. Subsequent tracks named in the coverage include “Gabriela,” “INTERNET GIRL,” and “PINKY UP.” Their collaboration with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT on “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” and renewed interest in their almost two-year-old song “Touch” were also cited as factors in expanding their fanbase.
The Official Charts credited the group’s systematic training, performance planning, and fan engagement as examples of how the K-pop artist development model is spreading into mainstream pop. The piece tied this approach to Bang Si Hyuk‘s goal of blending Korean idol training methods with the US pop industry.
“Animal” has climbed Spotify’s global charts and held a place in the global daily top 10 songs since its release. The group is also increasing its presence in the US market.
KATSEYE won three trophies at the 2026 American Music Awards, including “New Artist of the Year,” and received two Grammy Award nominations.
The group will release their third EP, WILD, which includes “Animal,” on August 14. They will begin the ‘THE WILDWORLD Tour’ across North America and Europe starting in September.
The Official Charts feature and these milestones mark KATSEYE’s growing influence in global pop and the continuing reach of the K-pop production system.
