On June 2, the Seoul Central District Court’s 8-1 Criminal Appeal Division rejected Kim Se Ui’s bail review request. He appeared in court with his hands tied behind his back, escorted by police. Reports say he gave a faint smile when seeing reporters at the courthouse.
The court had already issued an arrest warrant for Kim Se Ui. He is accused of spreading false rumors on YouTube about Kim Sae Ron’s death, claiming it was caused by pressure from Kim Soo Hyun’s side over debt repayment. He also faces charges of manipulating Kim Sae Ron’s voice using AI technology.
The controversy began when Kim Se Ui posted videos alleging these claims, stirring major backlash.
