Jin Ki Joo is facing backlash over her acting in Netflix’s hit K-Drama Teach You A Lesson.

The controversy began with fans criticizing her portrayal of Lim Han Rim, Na Hwa Jin’s junior in the Special Forces and the only female in the Education Rights Bureau. Viewers say her acting was overwhelming and unconvincing, especially since the role required her to switch between a “lunatic” character with volatile emotions and a neat, shy image.

Many pointed out her slurred pronunciation and awkward screaming as major issues, saying it hurt the overall drama.

Despite the criticism, fellow actor Kim Moo Yeol praised her efforts.
