SISTAR Soyou mourns father’s passing; funeral to be held privately
Soyou is in mourning after the sudden passing of her father.
An official from her agency, Mound Media, stated:
Soyou’s father has passed away. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, the wake and funeral proceedings will be held privately.
The agency added:
We kindly ask for your warm understanding so that the family can spend time together in quiet mourning, and we offer our deepest condolences to the deceased.
The funeral procession is scheduled for 5:30 AM on the 27th, and the final resting place will be Suwon Yeonhwajang.
She originally debuted in 2010 as a member of the iconic girl group SISTAR. The group scored hits including Loving U, Touch My Body, and Shake It. After the group’s disbandment, Soyou transitioned into a successful career as a solo artist.
