Cheng Xiao is facing controversy after a drama director was caught on camera yelling at her on set.
The drama is The Story Of The Mystics (aka Fangs of Fortune), which aired in 2024. The clip shows director Guo Jing Ming losing his temper because Cheng Xiao left the set to fix her costume. He told her to “go back to being an idol” if she couldn’t handle acting.
Cheng Xiao debuted with WJSN (Cosmic Girls) in 2016 but left the group officially in March 2023 after a long hiatus pursuing solo work in China.
She made her acting debut in 2020 with Detective Chinatown and started cashing in on acting gigs regularly, including her big screen debut in 2021.
