Actor Formerly an Idol Takes Over ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo’s Military Duty After Tax Evasion Scandal

Rowoon is replacing Cha Eunwoo as the new storyteller on the Defense Media Agency’s “KFN Plus” series That Day in the Military.

The controversy started when it was revealed that all videos featuring ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo were taken down amid tax evasion allegations. Cha Eunwoo had only appeared in four episodes before the content went private with a “This video is unavailable” message.

Soon after, reports confirmed that Rowoon, former SF9 member and actor currently serving in the Army, will take over the role. He’s preparing for filming and stepping in just as the series looks to move past the scandal.

That Day in the Military features idols and actors introducing military history. Past stars include Song Kang and NCT’s Taeyong.

Rowoon enlisted October 27, 2025, after appealing his military physical to shift from limited service to active duty. Since leaving SF9 in 2023, he’s focused on acting.
