Leading K-Drama Actress Involved in Illegal AI Film Scandal

Yeom Hye Ran is facing controversy over an AI-generated film that falsely claimed to have her permission.

The video, titled Inspector, showed an “eerily hyper-realistic” depiction of Yeom Hye Ran. It said it had secured her portrait rights, but the actress and her agency ACE FACTORY denied knowing anything about it.

Her agency told Sports DongA the claims were

“completely false”

and said they were shocked and uncomfortable with the video’s existence.

Following this, the agency confirmed they would demand the immediate removal of the content. The video has since been set to private.

ACE FACTORY stressed that the situation is serious, citing not only the unauthorized use of her image but also the false promotional claim suggesting Yeom Hye Ran’s consent.

They indicated possible legal action ahead.
