MC Mong Includes IU in Controversial Live Streams
MC Mong is sparking controversy by calling out IU over the historical distortion issue in the MBC drama Perfect Crown.
The drama, starring IU and Byeon Woo Seok, recently faced backlash for distorting history. IU apologized publicly for it.
On May 20, during his third live broadcast, MC Mong went after IU. He questioned why she was taking all the blame.
“Why is IU bowing her head when the staff responsible for the historical distortion are not taking responsibility?” MC Mong said.
He added:
“Celebrities with public faces are the weak ones.”
The criticism comes amid allegations against MBC PDs and Cha Jun Young for violating the Anti-Graft Law, which MC Mong also discussed in the broadcast.
This marks another heated moment for IU, who has already issued an apology for the drama’s controversy.
