Actor Confused With AI Due to Striking Resemblance to Co-Star

Choi Woo Jin is getting major attention for looking exactly like the star he plays in the new hit movie Colony!

The controversy started after Colony opened at No. 1 at the box office. Viewers quickly noticed child actor Choi Woo Jin, who plays the younger version of Koo Kyo Hwan’s character, looks unbelievably similar to him.

One netizen posted on an online community and asked, “Is the child actor playing Koo Kyo Hwan in Colony AI? The child actor looked exactly like Koo Kyo Hwan.”

The comment blew up, as many fans agreed about how close Choi Woo Jin’s looks are to Koo Kyo Hwan’s young self.

Soon after, Choi Woo Jin’s social media shared a response clarifying the child actor is real, not AI.

His mother also expressed her pride and gratitude for his role, sharing memories from the VIP premiere of Colony.

Colony premiered on May 21, 2026 (KST). The film centers on survivors trapped in a sealed building during a deadly infection outbreak, fighting evolving infected people.
