Actor Reveals Why Many Believe He Retired After His 13-Year Side Project

Lee Chun Hee clears up confusion about his career after shocking fans with his 13-year woodworking claim.

The controversy started during a May 29, 2026, episode of BIGBANG Daesung’s YouTube show, where Lee reunited with old Family Outing cast members including Yoon Jong Shin.

Lee revealed he’s currently prepping for the play Beginning, an adult romance. He also said he’s been on the variety show Unpredictable, fixing up Kim Sook’s house.

He joked about the show’s lack of games compared to Family Outing:

“We don’t play a single game like we did on Family Outing. We just fix the house,” Lee said, making everyone laugh.

Fans often mistake Lee’s woodworking passion for retirement. He set the record straight:

Lee Chun Hee: “People all think I retired.”
Yoon Jong Shin: “Usually, when someone goes into woodworking, people think they have retired!”

Lee has been a carpenter for 13 years, but hasn’t left acting behind. He’s juggling theater, TV, and craftsmanship all at once.
