BTS Members RM and V Released, Thousands of Fans Assemble at HYBE Headquarters
BTS is finally moving closer to a full reunion as RM and V have completed their military service. On June 10, these two members were officially discharged, sparking celebrations from fans worldwide. Around 1,500 fans gathered near HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, waving banners and sporting purple outfits to welcome them back. The scene was filled with BTS-themed decorations and trucks with electronic billboards flashing congratulatory messages, showing just how much this moment means to fans.
RM and V began their military duties in December 2023. RM served in the 15th Infantry Division’s military band, while V was part of the 2nd Corps Military Police Special Mission Unit. The discharge event even drew about 200 international fans to Chuncheon, where RM and V were officially released from service.
Meanwhile, BTS fans have more to look forward to as Jimin and Jungkook are set to finish their military service the very next day, on June 11. Following them, Suga’s discharge is scheduled for June 21. Jin and J-Hope, who completed their service last year, are already back to focusing on solo projects. All these returns are fueling excitement for BTS’s upcoming full-group comeback. HYBE’s stock price is also reacting to the news, reaching 310,000 KRW—a 52-week high—showing the market’s confidence in BTS’s future activities.
To celebrate this milestone, the exterior of HYBE headquarters has been adorned with a huge banner reading, “WE ARE BACK.” This banner is set to stay up until June 29, linking the return celebration to BTS’s 12th debut anniversary on June 13.
