BTS’s RM Faces Backlash for Sharing Jungkook’s Private Information

BTS’s RM is facing backlash after comments about Jungkook’s military service sparked controversy.

The issue started when RM went live on Weverse following BTS’s third Las Vegas concert. During the live, RM shared behind-the-scenes details about the album Arirang and revealed how the group’s military enlistment affected their comeback plans.

BTS began their mandatory military service with Jin in December 2022 and finished with Suga’s discharge in June 2025. While some members served, others focused on solo projects. RM explained that after Jin’s discharge, the members reunited but were struggling mentally.

He said Jungkook was having a particularly hard time and even cried, while the older members felt the need to keep the group united.
