HYBE Boy Group Faces Backlash Over Content Featuring Naked Child

TXT is facing backlash over MBC’s variety show Parenting Diary after its latest episode sparked controversy online.
The show, now on its eighth episode, follows the five TXT members caring for baby Choi Yoojun while juggling their busy schedules. The “idol childcare” concept initially caught viewers’ attention, but recent footage has shifted the conversation.
The controversy began when episode 8 showed the members preparing to bathe baby Yoojun. While bathing scenes are common in childcare shows, many netizens criticized how the moment was filmed. The baby appeared unclothed, with private areas covered only by editing stickers for broadcast.
One clip went viral showing Yoojun visibly distressed and crying loudly while being held by Beomgyu, who struggled to calm him down. The cameras even zoomed in on the baby’s bum, raising further concerns.
Fans quickly reacted with sharp criticism aimed at MBC, the baby’s parents, and HYBE.
Am I the only one that finds this odd that they’re doing this for content

Whoever this kid’s mother is, she should come and take him, for f*ck’s sake. How can you allow three random men to wash your child while the cameras are filming him completely naked? It’s extremely disturbing.
what kind of parent in their fucking right mind is letting strangers change and bathe their baby and then post it to the world to see…

Exploiting a baby’s privacy for views and a freaking show. Is it really necessary for them to show him naked? R they not realising he will grow up one day nd how embarrassing it’ll be knowing you were once showed naked on TV. Doesn’t matter if he’s a baby it’s no okay at all

I’m not saying beomgyu is a bad person what so ever but who are these people letting random men give their baby a bath???and probably changing its diaper

As the situation unfolded, neither HYBE nor MBC has issued a statement addressing the backlash. With five more episodes of Parenting Diary scheduled to air, it remains unclear if any changes will be made to the show’s content or filming approach.
