Leading K-Drama Actress Suffers Pelvic Fracture in Car Accident

Ham So Won is recovering after a serious car accident that left her with a pelvic fracture.

The crash happened on July 1 as she tried to park on a downhill road. While using the parking brake, her vehicle collided with a utility pole. She was rushed to a hospital in Seoul and underwent surgery for the fractured pelvis. She is still hospitalized and focused on recovery.

Neither Ham nor her reps have shared details about her current condition. Reports say she is concentrating on treatment and rehabilitation.

Ham So Won first gained attention after winning Miss Korea Pacific in 1997. She later found fame as an actress and singer, notably starring in Sex Is Zero and releasing the single “So Won No. 1” in 2003. She also appeared on variety shows and worked actively in China.

Ham married Chinese businessman Jin Hua in 2018. He is 18 years younger than her. They had a daughter but divorced in 2022. Despite splitting, they continue to co-parent, sparking rumors about a possible reunion.
