Lee Yi Kyung Faces New Controversy Following Audit of His Solo Agency

Lee Yi Kyung is facing controversy over alleged tax evasion linked to his one-man agency.

The controversy began when financial authorities investigated the actor’s personal agency, Sangyoung ENT. Reports on May 13, KST, revealed that part of Lee’s personal income was funneled through the company as corporate income. This could have lowered his tax bill due to differences between personal income tax and corporate tax rates. Authorities are treating this as possible intentional tax evasion.

Soon after, Sangyoung ENT responded, denying any wrongdoing.

“The situation resulted from differing interpretations of tax laws between the authorities and the company.”

The agency stressed Lee will pay the revised taxes immediately.

“Lee Yi Kyung intends to fully pay the revised taxes without any delay.”

They also promised to improve tax management going forward.

This isn’t the first time recent months have brought tax troubles for K-celebrities. Stars like Cha Eunwoo, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Kim Seon Ho have also faced tax probes due to their personal corporations.

Lee firmly denies the allegations while the investigation continues.
