Well-Known Actor in His 40s Reveals He Avoids Dating Due to Mother’s Jealousy

Yoon Si Yoon is facing backlash after blaming his mom for why he’s still single in his 40s.

The actor dropped the bomb on the May 15 KBS2 show Stars’ Top Recipe at Funstaurant. Alongside Kim Jaejoong, Choi Jin Hyuk, and Yoo Seon Ho, they talked openly about love and marriage.

Choi Jin Hyuk said his mom nags about everything—except marriage—and it feels like she doesn’t want him to tie the knot. Kim Jaejoong agreed, saying a guy living with his mom can’t really date.

Then Yoon Si Yoon joined in. He said his mom hates the idea of him getting married. He shared a wild story about a date he had years ago.

He asked his mom to drop him off at a station for the date. Instead, she drove right past it. When he complained, she sobbed and said,

“I don’t know!”

Later, when Kim Jaejoong joked that maybe it’s because of his mom that Yoon can’t get married, Yoon laughed but said,

“Actually, it really is because of my mom.”

Yoon and Choi Jin Hyuk said they think moms act this way because their sons are their main support system, making the moms possessive.
